went to my first alabama concert in indiana this past week. LOVED IT!!!! trying to get tickets for another one. i cant get enough of ALABAMA. loved them for years!!!!

I never have met randy yet but i don’t think it would make a difference because he is already the greatest. my husband just had the pleasure of shaking his hand at a gas station. i wish i could have been the one to meet him because i have always been his biggest fan and always will be.
I was at their farewell concert in PHX, AZ – it was AMAZING!!!! But what do you expect – they are after all – ALABAMA – the best group of our lifetime. I am just totally in love with Randy and have been for all 25 years they have been a group. I’m sorry to see them retire. They will be greatly missed.
Been my favorite group for as long as I can remember. Hate to see them retire but can understand. I have every CD and play them often. One of the best.

I was 8 years the first time i ever heard them play. at the age of 31 i have all of there cd’s and i love s.c. the bowery the memories are great. The fan club in fort paine after going to randy’s house and seeing the feel so right gate and 110 concerts later i will miss you guys and you will always be in my heart.
Randy, didnt have a heart attack, he was just under a lot of stress with the death of his father, he had kept everything inside, and tried to concentrate on his work, and it just got to him, it was an “axiety attack”- It feels like a heart attack though. I know, I have had them. He just did a concert in Chicago, and will be doing another six months worth of concerts. I guess clear channel didnt realize how much we loved them, or how popular they are. Alabama will always have a special place in the heart of all their fans. Welcome Back Alabama!

We heard over the radio that Randy Owen had passed away but we can’t find any information on it. I hope this is not true because we will always love randy and the Alabamas

I saw Randy Owens at the Cracker Barrel last night (1-28-04) in Cartersville Georgia with his wife. They sat right next to us. I was going to get his autograph, but he seemed to be a little aggravated from everyone else asking. Can’t say I blame him. After all, he was trying to eat.

check out the Alabama band’s website for correct information. Alabama performed as scheduled in Tallahassee FL on March 13, 2004 as scheduled. Randy sang as usual. He had an inner ear infection earlier but is recovering. See Alabama in an up coming concert. Don’t believe the down stuff the group Alabama is still a super group!
I can assure you that Randy is doing well and that he will be going to concerts taht are coming up this weekend.
Alabama performed in Charleston, WV this past Saturday nite. The vocals were great, but it was not a typical Alabama concert cause Randy was unable to jump around the stage.

Hello….I went to the concert in Charleston WV on March 27. It was not the same as the past concerts that I have been to. I was too worried about him to enjoy myself. I hope he recovers soon for I would like to go and see them when he is well.
I am not a country music fan at all but of course….I have to say ALABAMA has been my fav group for years…. Bmore Concert on MArch28, thank you ALABAMA, my kids and I soooo enjoyed your performance…..and I suppose it was made even more special because Randy…..what you shared that night was far more than any performer should ever want to give to his fans….Please take care and know that ALABAMA will always be in the heart of this classical pianist and her family! i was at the charleston concert and loved it.randy owens will always be loved and i think he knows the west virginia fans love him most!
In 1984 I sang “Happy Birthday” to Randy who knew my name,we met a month earlier, since it is the same as his.We discussed his latest song since I am a songwriter also and ate walnuts together. We hit it off like brothers. Later I realized I looked alot like his daddy, which may explain why he seem to take a liking to me, a complete stranger.
I’ve tried to find a talk to him again for 20 years, but no lucky. So I would like to tell him that I am praying for him and his illness. I had the same “panic attacks” and night sweats. My mind would just spin at nights. They found that I had fibromyalgia. I am now over it inventing my own herbal supplements called “Trisonol”. I ran out of money on that venture and am on standard herbs to curb this chronic malady.
Randy, you will get over this stage of your life. It is like a male life change that I beliveve all of us go through. You must get angry at the problem and tell it to go away. Become positive about everything, try to get out all of your emotions and don’t hold them in. This will be a roller coster ride for a while, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, his name is Jesus.

Hi! I went to the Alabama concert last night at the centrum…it was awsome! But i think something is wrong w/ Randy, he needs an escort walking off stafe and on.
I was at the concert at Mohegan Sun on 4.2.04. It was the 5th time Ive seen an Alabama concert. The music was great, but I wish Randy had told us what was wrong with him. He wasnt his animated self, and it was obvious something was seriously wrong with his balance. It would be nice to whats up. I’m sure everybody wishes him well. My thoughts and prayers are with him. We will dearly miss Alabama when they are no longer a group.

We just returned home from the Alabama show at Clemson’s Littlejohn. It was a great show. I just had to come home and find out what was wrong with Randy. We have seen Alabama 5 times now and it just wasn’t the same. I know now that he is suffering from a inner-ear infection. Just want to say a huge Thank You to Randy for still putting on a great show despite it all. THANKS!! We will forever remember the ‘Bama Boys and hope this won’t be the last concert we get to see.
We saw Alabama Friday night in Cols, Ga. Randy obviously wasn’t himself for whatever reason…but the man can still sing!! They saounded awsome and went on for hours!!! Great concert! Everyone really enjoyed it (based on the noise levels) Thanks Randy! Thanks Alabama!
I went to the Clemson University concert, and I was scared the whole time that Randy was having a heart attack. I wish the band would tell what was wrong and put the audience at ease. Someone who worked cleaning the stage told me he had been drinking, but he just has an ear infection, right?

We went to the Council Bluffs show last night. Alabama has always been my favorite, and just had to go see them one last time. This was probably the fifth or sixth show I’ve seen, and I knew immediately that something was wrong with Randy. Having said that, the music and show were just as great as the first time. We took our kids to their first concert, ages 11, 9, and 5. They loved it. I think they’re hooked. Good luck to all the members of Alabama as you finish your final tour. I’m glad we went last night, it was special.
randy has a inner ear infection. not cancer,heart attack and he didnt die either. he is alive as me or you. it is not just vertigo. vertigo is just a symptom. he is going though alot of pain. from what i read about it when you have it it hurts to move your head from side to side.and to think randy is still giving us fans 110 percent at the concerts.so if you are a fan of randy owen you will keep him in you prayers.P.S. i love you randy you are in my prayers and i hope you will get well soon!!!!!!!

RANDY LOOKED REALLY SICK HE HAD TOO LEAVE THE STAGE A COUPLE OF TIMES AND HE WALKED LIKE HE WAS HAVING TROUBLE MAYBY WITH HIS BALANCE. WE NOTICED HE WAS ALWAYS HOLDING ON TOO SOMETHING. BUT HE STILL PERFORMED AND SANG WONDERFUL FOR HIS FANS. I HOPE THE GUYS HAVE A GREAT TOUR AND THEY GET TOO RETIRE WHILE THEY ARE STILL AT THE TOP OF THIER GAME. I was at the Greensboro Concert and it was GREAT!!!!! I was also at the Charlotte Concert. I first saw Alabama in concert when I was 7 years old. It was in Charlotte I was on my dad’s sholders and I got to touch Randy’s hand while he was on stage. I’ve been to 4 Concerts of Alabama and I’m in love with the group. I will never care about another Country group like I care about Alabama. At each Concert I found my self fighting back tears of saddness from the end of their tours. Alabama will always be a part of my life and always in my thoughts and prayers. Alabama Keep Rolling On!!!!!!
I was at FAD (Fan Appreciation Day) this past weekend. Randy had a big cookout for the fans that came to his ranch Sunday. After they finished the autographing at the fan club, Randy came to join the fans at his ranch. He did a question/answer session in his office and then walked around and talked and had posed for pictures with anyone who asked. I have met him several times and he is just a friendly down home country guy. He never forgets his fans and continously thanks them for everything. He has definitely not let all the fame and fortune go to his head.
Randy’s illness is getting better, he still can’t look down when he walks as the ground will look like it’s moving. When he is on stage, and looks down, the cracks between the boards on stage look like crators to him. He did say that the meds. his doctor’s have him on are helping his condition. They would not allow flashes in the autograph line Sunday because it would make Randy dizzy. We were allowed however to take as many pictures as we wanted when he was walking around the ranch.
Last year, I was lucky enough to have a front row center seat at the Atlanta concert! What a show ~ and the guitar we got when we went backstage is absolutely awesome! I have been a fan of ALABAMA for 23+ years and there will never be a group like them.
He said the song “Feels So Right” was written for a special girl that he dated when he was in high school. He also said that many years later during one of the June Jams that he started to sing that song and looked in the crowd and there ‘she’ was. He said they exchanged a special ‘smile’ and it was a touching moment for both of them.
I attended the farewell concert in Tupelo, MS, on June 18, 2004. Even with Randy’s not being able to run around like he always has, the concert was absolutely wonderful. Just hated for it to end. Prayers and best wishes for all the guys as they continue through life.
