HI EVERYONE JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW I JUST GOT A FEW DAYS FROM FT PAYNE ALABAMA I WENT DOWN TO SHARE CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS WITH ALABAMA IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER BEEN TO THAT IT WAS GREAT THEY CAME OUT AND PERFORMED FOR THE KIDS AND PUT ON A MINI SHOW. RANDY IS BACK TO NORMAL AND LOOKING GREAT AS EVER. AFTER THE SHOW HE CAME OUT AND SIGNED AUTOGRAPHS GOT TO SPEEK WITH HIM FOR A BIT IT WAS GREAT YOU THINK HE IS FINE YOU SHOULD SEE HIS SON HEATH LOOKS JUST LIKE DADDY GOT MY PIC WITH HIM. AND IN JUNE I WILL BE BACK TO SEE ALL OF THE BAND. I DID GET ALOT OF GREAT PICTURES AND DEFENTILY ALOT OF GREAT MEMORIES. LOVE YA ALL.
Before the country supergroup Alabama became Alabama, they were called Wildcountry. They changed their name after the threat of a lawsuit from AVON which has a cologne called Wildcountry. They cut a demo/promo album in 1977 at LSI studios in Nashville called Wildcountry Deuces Wild. It’s an 8-song album that was cut in 12 hours in one night and contains original versions of Tennessee River and Lady Down on Love among others. I have a copy in excellent condition and would like to try to find out what it’s worth. Anybody out there ever hear of any collectors looking for this album? I don’t want to sell, the record has too much sentimental value. My uncle Rick and my father Arliss are on the album and used to play with the group just before they signed with RCA. I’m just curious to find out what it might be worth. As a kid, I used to hang out in the studio with my dad and watch Wildcountry/Alabama working what eventually became several smash hits.

I am a hugeeeeeeeee fan of Alabama/Randy, I have lisened to their music as far back as I can remember.. I can remeber when I was small my father and uncle singing all of their songs in their band that they had.. And beleive it or not my father could be his twin.. My mother and father got a divorce when I was 7 years old.. And I was always a daddy’s girl.. I seen my dad on a regular basis at first then, he remarried and him and my mother could never see eye to eye so eventually I didnt get to see him that much anymore. I missed him so much and to get me thru the times i missed him the much I would plug in alabama and lisen to them for hours. My dad also sounded alot like him he even squints his eyes like Randy does when he sings.. For the next 15 years of my life I spent alot of time lisening to Alabama as much as possible.. Then when the song Up in Pictures came out that was just amazing to me because it fit me and my dad’s relationship at the time to a t.. Now of course i am 27 years old.. And Alabama has the same effect on me as it did 20 years ago. My only wish i have always said and always will say is that I wish I could meet Randy just once and tell him Thank You, Let him know how important it was to me for him and the band to make such beautiful music to help me thru some of the toughest times in my life.. Not only My fater for most but relationships.. Life in general.. Can anyone tell where to start to make this even possibele???

I know her mom wanted to have her til she was at least 21 years old … but last week was told she won’t make that birthday 🙁 at any rate ,,, she’s a doll and a real trouper ,,, loves Jr and although she does have her name on Kenny’s car (local circuit here in ct) it’d be real nice if she can have an autographed picture of Jr to add to her race car room decor.. thanks Jeri

FAD was great this year ~ I even got a kiss from Randy ~ I have the pictures (2 of them) to prove it-lol. I also have pictures of me signing a shirt for Randy (a Marine’s tshirt that my husband sent him). Randy put the shirt on his leg while I signed it. He also wanted my daughter, and grand daughter to sign it, which they did.
Wendy, you do need to get a life ~ Randy wrote Feels So Right for his girlfriend when he was in high school. Taking the age difference in Randy, and you ~ you would have been a YOUNG CHILD when he wrote that song – lol.
He also wrote Tar Top as a Christmas gift for Teddy, and Jeff – not you – lol.
Anyway Randy was in good spirits as was the rest of the boys this past weekend. After augotraphing all day at the fan club he came to his ranch (about 5:30pm) and talked and visited with us fans till after 10pm. There was a cookout at his ranch for the fans and it was great. Randy is such a class act!!
Anyone wanting to meet Randy, and the rest of the band – come to FAD. It’s usually the 2nd week in June – you will have a wonderful time.
Thank u Randy for being so nice to me this past weekend I really enjoy the fan culb I will sind up next year. and till all my family and friends to sind up to sicerly melvin

I am a member of Alabama’s crew. I have been for a long time. The story of the song Feels So Right is this: Randy wrote the lyrics to that song when he was in school as an English project. the music was added later as Alabama started writing songs. While Randy has written songs for other women,like Lady Down On Love is about a woman the guys met who was there with some friends and she had just gotten divorced. He wrote that about her. He wrote Goodbye for his wife Kelly. But the one thing he did not do was write Feels So Right for Wendy. Wendy was thrown off alabamaband.com for sending annoying emails to Randys’s sister, and his family. She is not his girlfriend, he does not talk to her on the phone, etc. Her story is all CRAP!
