I also use a "#" or "##" symbol to indicate a key change in the music on the progress bar, so I can realize it is coming up.

Mike,

I've been using a 64bit laptop with the CSDS program for about 5 Months. Sometimes WINAMP (ver v5.601(x86) hangs when loading a new mp3 file. I had no problem moving all my CSDS files from a 32bit system to the 64bit system.

I have IE Vers. 7 right now on my system and it runs fine. Before I install Version 8, is anyone using it with CSDS? Does it work ok for displaying que sheets, etc.?

Will CSDS run on a 64 bit system? What if I buy a new 64 bit desktop, but still have a 32 bit laptop and transfer CSDS files between them?

I would like to note whether a singing call figure on the original label contains Basic, Mainstream or Plus for the maximum program.

Right now I use "B" for Broadway/Musical, "M" for Mixer and "P" for Patter as my flag. I also have "1", "2" , "3", "<", "~" and ">" in use.

I am looking for some other ideas on how to flag the dance program level of the singing call that might have a logical progression.

It would be cool if I could us an "emoticon"?

I just bought the Creative Zen Vision W 30 Gig. to use as my back up to my computer and the CSDS program should I have a problem some day at a dance. Who else uses this player? How do you use it? It comes with Windows Media Player. Can I use Winamp instead, since this is my player used within CSDS? How do you organize your folders so they match what is seen from within CSDS? Is it possible to load CSDS into the player, bla, bla, bla.... I have only had this player for a few days, so maybe I am jumping the gun with my questions.

To go a step further, I now use "Sp1, Sp2, Sp3, etc." instead of Spl (ell). I found I could not mark the second and third occurrences of the special places without a unique marker.

I am currently using Version 5.24 and am afraid to try a higher version, because I had conflicts at one time with a higher version.

Who is currently using a higher version than this and what version is it? Version 5.53 seems to be the latest.

There was someone at the GCA school this past year who was running an Intel Mac and using CSDS with Parallels (I can't remember who it was...sorry).

I plan to do it as soon as Leopard (the new version of Mac OS X) is released. I haven't decided yet on Parallels or VMWare Fusion.

Has anybody tried running CSDS in Windows on an Intel Mac, using either Bootcamp or Parallels? I'm thinking it's time for a new laptop, and wondered if I could do something brave and different and buy a Mac.

First I downloaded the latest cue sheet and lyrics database from Ceder.com and placed it in my SQDATA folder. I then started CSDS, went to the "edit music data base' tab. I launched "Update cue sheets and lyrics from database..." and got as a result: 1 cue sheet and 0 lyrics updated.

I then went to "Add missing cuesheet and lyrics from web" and got as a result: 1 cue sheet added and 8 lyrics.

I guess I don't understand the differences here. Aren't they basically the same? One is from a download file and the other goes directly out on the web for the information. Then why is the result different? Is the "one cue sheet" the same cue sheet in each case?

How do you find out "exactly which cue sheets and lyrics" were added/updated? Supposedly in version 1.22.06 this feature was added, but I can't find out how to get the information.

I have put about 20 round dance mp3's into the music database but have not found any cue sheets that will match in the cue sheet database. The program supports round dancing in other ways, but thus far, no cue sheets.

Are there no ROUND DANCE cues sheets supported at all?

Does anybody have ROUND DANCE cue sheets in their personal database, they could send me as a sample for formating?

Don't know how to do it within CSDS, but how about running the mp3's thru a program like Goldwave as a batch file. You can slow them down there.
